9月26日 Talking about Beethoven Goes Digital - Newsweek Enterprise - MSNBC.com This is such good news! I guess that it's time to get Tabby an iPod and an iTunes card for her birthday (shhhh! We took her to see Lang Lang last year when he performed with the Indianapolis Symphony. Quote Beethoven Goes Digital - Newsweek Enterprise - MSNBC.com 6月20日 Watching US TV from SingaporeI've never tried to watch TV show episodes that ABC, CBS, and NBC make available online back in the States. After all, I have two ReplayTVs, a SlingBox, and there just aren't enough hours left after trying to "monitor" Web 2.0.
This morning, I was reading in "Digital Life" of The Straits Times about Joost and the article mentioned that the US broadcast networks restrict their online episodes to the US. It dawned on me that I have a VPN connection to IUPUI so that I can connect to our Exchange mail server so that it would appear that I AM in the US. I tried it and it DOES work!
The question is: Although this is within the "spirit" of the restriction, it does violate the "letter" of the restriction so what do YOU think? 6月16日 Tabby and the rest of the gang went to see Fantastic FourSo, I'm hanging out at McDonald's at Junction 8 trying out Wireless@SG on my laptop for the first time. This is also the first time that I encountered an iCELL hotspot whereas all of the others that I encountered previously were either operated by SingTel or QMax. I had registered (BEFORE I left the States) with all three, but I've been pleasantly surprised that any of these registrations work irrespective of the operator of the hotspot! 2月14日 MoodJamHere's a fun activity to try:
MoodJam lets you display your mood to anybody who has access to the Web.
Here's a description of MoodJam in the story entitled "Carnegie Mellon Students Develop Networked Mood Ring" |
